THE MATERIALS
MODAL®
Technological fiber, 100% natural, extracted from beech wood and oekotox certified. Fabrics made of MODAL® guarantee higher performance than those of cotton: very good resistance to traction, colour- keeping and very soft to the touch, more than the other fibers on the market. Reliability guaranteed even after many washings.
3M SCOTCHLITE™
The backward reflecting bands 3M Scothlite™8910 makes visibles and indentifiable those who work at night or by any other condition of scarce luminosity. They meet all requirements established by EN 471:2003 standards placing themselves in the highest class of refractivity( class 2). They resist minimum 50 water- washings at 60 °C and least 20 dry-cleanings.
YKK®
All the zip-fasteners of COFRA Workwear System garments, both the main ones and the secondary ones, are YKK®, real guarantee of long time resistance, smoothness and easy usage. They fit any type of apllication assuring versatility and resistance to each solicitation.
CORDURA®
It is a high technology fabric engineered to guarantee the maximum resistance to abrasions, lacerations, tears and perforations, moreover it is light and easy to maintain. The fabric Cordura® lasts from 2 to 7 times compared to nylon, polyester and cotton.
THINSULATE™
Mycrofibre padding whose surface is 10 times traditional fibres. This means that Thinsulate™ mycrofibres retain more air, reducing the dispersion of warmth outwards. Consequently Thinsulate grants constant thermic insulation even under severe weather conditions where wind is strong and temperature are harsh.
LYCRA®
Lycra® is a bielastic synthetic fibre, patennted by DuPont. Lycra fibre can be used in all kinds of fabric and combined with all other fibres, both natural and synthetic. It can stretch up to 7 times its length, subsequentlu returing to its original dimensions unaltered. It does not loose any of its characteristics even when washed often, thus garments made of lycra keep their comfort for a long time and are always following the movements of the body.
CORE-TEX®
The Core-tex® membrane is made of expanded PTFE (polytetrafluorideethylene) with a microporous structure made of 1,4 million micropores per cm2, each one 20000 times smaller than a water molecule and 700 times bigger than water vapour molecule. This means that performances in terms of waterproofness and breathability are higher than EN 343 standard requirements.
WINDSTOPPER®
The Gore Windstopper® is a membrane made of expanded ePTFE (polytetrafluorideethylene) with a microporous structure which prevents wind from passing through, but whose micropores are 1000 times bigger than a water vapaour molecule. Evem if wind can`t go through the clothing, its breathability is unaffected.
COOLDRY®
Cooldry® is a dry, fresh and comfortable fibre, combining the sofftness of cotton with the technical features of the polyester. It rapidly releases moisture and lets fresh air pass from the outside to the body, thus avoiding the sensation of “dampness” on the skin.
Cooldry® is guaranteed by the Oekotex Standard 100 Certificate, it is anallergic and respects PH factor of the skin.
Easy to maintain, it can be either washed in the washing machine or dry- cleaned with no risk of deformation.
Just pour a drop of water on this fabric and after 30 seconds, it will expand on the Cooldry® twice as much as cotton, 4 times than on nylon, 7 times than on common polyester which implies that Cooldry® gets dry much more rapidly.
E-CARE
Thanks to the composition of the fibres inserted into the weft of the fabric, the E-Care is a real barrier that protects the human body from the waves of mobile phones.
99% of the power of the signal is voided, through the absorbing or reflecting action of the fabric.
COFRA Workwear garements are equipped with mobile phone pockets which guarantee the phone reception though block the signal before it reaches the human body, thus avoiding the consequent physical disorders that can consequent physical disorders that can derive from electromagnetic pollutation.
the E-Care fabric conforms to the Oekotex Standard 100 Certificare.
FABRICS
